I think greenery is one of the most important parts of Christmas decor! And today I’m sharing the 10 ways you can use holiday greenery throughout your home this holiday season!
Yes, 10.
So even if you don’t have a mantel to fill with garlands, this one is still for you!
Note- I’ll be linking items as I go, and I will also put a link to shop everything at the bottom of the post.
different ways to use holiday greenery throughout your home:
1. the obvious – a mantel

Starting with the obvious one, the mantel! It’s the thing I decorate first and what sets the tone for the entire room!
You can read all about my mantel and how I created it here.
You can shop my mantel here.
2. greenery in a kitchen

In 2020 I bought the cute wreath above to hang on my range hood. It didn’t end up working there, so I tried using the loop to hang it from the cutting boards, and it has been there as a holiday fixture ever since!
By the way, you can see the wreath from 2020 here.

3. greenery as a centerpiece

I have been styling a faux garland as part of my dining room table centerpiece for several years as well! It’s such a simple thing to do and looks so pretty!

4. garland over a window

Starting last year, I added garland above these windows in our living room. It adds a bit of holiday to the side of the room opposite the tree and mantel, which I love.
I also love the look of wreaths hanging from windows! One day I won’t have these blinds and will do just that!

5. garland over a doorway

I also added the garland above this doorway last year and it is just the perfect frame for the pretty tree in our den/office.

6. garland in a bedroom

A garland and a few evergreen stems, what more does a guest bedroom need?!? Ok maybe some artwork, cute trees and a few festive pillows.

7. a wreath on an interior door

I bought the wreath above to hang on the exterior of my front door and told myself I would just hang it here until I decorated my front porch for Christmas.
I don’t think it will make it to my front porch! It is just too cute on this closet door!
8. add greenery to your home office

A cute tree in an oversized vase on a desk is just the right amount of festive if you ask me!
Sadly, the mini tree on my desk sold out yesterday, but I’m linking some similar ones below.

9. a wreath on an entryway hook

Easiest one of them all! Add a mini wreath to a hook! We also have hooks in our laundry/mudroom that I always add a wreath to.
10. hang a wreath on a bookcase

The last way to use holiday greenery throughout your home is by adding a wreath to a bookcase! This is my favorite new addition to my holiday decor this year!
