Today I’m sharing my plan for my Christmas decor this year- what is staying the same, and what is going to be different.
For the past several years I have had what I would consider very traditional Christmas decor, which I love. I love the red and green plaid, buffalo check, the whole classic Christmas look.

This year I am ready for a change and heading in a different direction.
I am going for more neutral Christmas decor with green, black, white & of course wood.

What will be staying the same
I like to make small changes each year with my Christmas decor for several reasons. One being cost. If I were to do an entire new tree and all new decor each year, that would get incredibly expensive. Not going to happen. Two, like I mentioned above, I love what I have. We have a tradition of buying a few new ornaments each year (and have since 1999,) so my ornaments have great memories. So, my tree will mostly be the same.
My mantle decor was mostly green & white last year, so that will be staying basically the same for this year as well.
What will be changing
Pillows are the big change this year. I have had the pillows shown in the photos above for several years, and I’m ready for a new look.
I ordered a few new pillows and throws, and will be using several pillows I already have in black, neutral and green.

I also purchased a few new wood decor pieces, a couple of faux trees, along with some greenery and decor pieces to change the look in my dining nook.

In my entryway, I’m continuing the green and black theme. I’m adding some winter artwork above the coat hook rack, hanging a wreath and adding a faux tree to the basket. I’ll finish the look with a cozy blanket.

For my console table decor this year, my plan is to add a few faux trees, a bowl filled with ornaments, along with a few new pillows and a cozy throw.

I’m keeping it super simple in my kitchen. I love to bring in new dish towels, a Christmas candle, a wreath and maybe a few decor pieces.

Planning to add some holiday cheer to our guest bedroom by hanging a wreath above the bed, adding a few faux trees, a bowl full of ornaments, and some new holiday pillows!
