Ok, I know what you are thinking. Of course she buys things for holiday early, she has to! It’s her job. And I will admit that is part of the reason I buy Christmas decor early! But, even before this blog was a thing, I almost always planned ahead for my holiday decor. Maybe it wasn’t in October, but it was definitely early November. And I still waited until after Thanksgiving to decorate. So whether or not you are an early decorator, if you want to make any holiday decor purchases this year, I would do it early.
And then pack it away until you are ready. Because I can guarantee if you wait some items will be gone before you know it.

what I’m buying early this year for Christmas:
1. anything from McGee & Co.
Every year for the past several, as soon as McGee & Co. releases their Christmas decor, I place an order. This stems from a past year where I waited thinking I would shop after Thanksgiving and EVERYTHING was gone. Ok, maybe that’s an exaggeration, but SO much of what I wanted was sold out. Several of the trees above are from McGee & Co. last year. As always, they have great decorative tree options this year too!

2. faux garlands & wreaths
Last year, my most requested items were both from Crate & Barrel, and both were sold out before Thanksgiving. Lucky for you, they are both back this year. DO NOT wait on this Garland or these Wood Candleholders. Here are a few more favorites. Find even more in my Christmas Shop.

3. faux trees & tree collars
This is the year, friends. I’m buying a faux Christmas tree for my den. Every year we have a tradition of cutting down our Christmas tree on the day after Thanksgiving, and decorating it on Saturday. That won’t change, but I’m adding another tree to the mix, and I’m SO excited. I’m ordering it (along with a tree collar) this week. Here are a few favorites. Find more in my Christmas Shop.

4. decorative trees
Over the last couple of years I have noticed that decorative trees of any kind seem to sell out early. Crate & Barrel always has great little trees that sell out before Thanksgiving. These Trees are adorable and I know will be very popular. These LED Ceramic Trees as well. Speaking of ceramic trees, I recently ordered these Ceramic Light Up Trees from World Market and LOVE them.
I bought a version of these West Elm Trees several years ago, and as soon as started sharing my decor they were sold out. A few favorites here. More over in my Christmas Shop.
