You guys, our main Christmas tree is up! So of course I’m sharing another tour of my living room all dressed up for the holidays!
For 45 years I have had a real Christmas tree in my house. Yes, you heard that right. 45 years. I grew up in Oregon, and growing up we would always go cut down a tree. Always.
My husband and I have gone to the Christmas tree farm together for over 20 years. It’s been 12 with my daughter.
And this year everything changed. We went faux. And guess what? We couldn’t be happier! No sap, no spiders, no pine needles, no freezing cold Christmas tree farms. Just a really pretty tree delivered by a really nice delivery guy.
I couldn’t be any happier with our Faux Tree choice this year. (As I’m writing this, there were a few trees left!)
Ok, let’s get to it, my first faux tree in all her glory! Christmas In The Living Room 2021: A Photo Tour!

Living Room Christmas Tree

We have a tight spot for our tree to fit, so this narrow tree ended up being perfect!

We have been collecting ornaments for over 20 years, so it is definitely an eclectic mix, which I LOVE. I add only a few ornaments each year to the tree, so each ornament is super special.

For my wrapping paper this year, I’m keeping it simple with just green & white paper and ribbon.
Christmas Mantel

I also made a few changes to our mantel, because why not, am I right?!? I’m loving the new look. Everything I already had, I just moved it from other areas of my house!

The Rest Of The Holiday Living Room

When we bring a tree in for Christmas, we lose a console table that is normally in its place, along with one of our living room chairs. So, I always have to do some minor rearranging.

This ottoman, which is part of a pair, is normally under our living room console table (the other one found a home in the entryway.) Anyway, I moved it to this space for the first time, and am loving it. It may have found its new home? What do you think?

And when I moved the ottoman, I needed to find a home for the wood stool above. Works perfectly with this chair, don’t you think?

The rest of the living room stayed mostly the same. I’m LOVING the pillow combo this year, so I wasn’t about to change that!
