Today is all about floor baskets. Tips and tricks for using floor baskets as functional décor!
Baskets As Storage:
We all know I love a good floor basket. I love them for décor and the texture they bring to a space, but I really love them for storage. We don’t have a big home, so we have to be smart about how we use each space. Baskets help me with much needed additional storage space in my home!
I’m going to share with you how I use baskets in my home as both décor and storage!

Baskets In My Home
While I was writing this post, I walked through my home, and my daughter’s bathroom and our kitchen are the only two rooms in our entire home that don’t have a floor basket of some sort. We use them for blankets, stuffed animals, shoes, hats & gloves, umbrellas, toys, pillows, toiletries, extra linens, magazines, books, virtual school stuff & kitchen linens.
The basket in my dining nook shown above holds all of my daughter’s school supplies for virtual learning. Before that, it held extra kitchen linens.
I love to switch out the throw pillows I have on my couch, and since I don’t have a lot of room to store pillows not being used, baskets are the perfect solution, as shown above.
My daughter has a really small room and a lot of stuffed animals. A lot. The basket shown above is the perfect solution.
Our entryway has two baskets- one for shoes and one for umbrellas. Both look great empty as well.
This basket is now in our guest bedroom and is used for extra linens and pillows. It is a large basket and holds a lot!
Here is the basket that is currently in our den. This is the same basket we have in our entryway. It is an affordable option, and I have had them for years. Highly recommend. Tip: you can get a completely different look by styling a different basket and pillow combo in the same corner!
The basket that now holds my daughter’s school supplies used to be perfect for my faux fiddle tree. I love a basket as a plant holder!
The basket above is full of magazines. I love to store books & magazines in pretty baskets!
