How To Add Warmth To An All White Bedroom

January 4, 2022 Home Decor

I’m here today to fill you in on a little secret. White bedrooms don’t have to be boring, cold, or without personality. I promise. Sharing 6 simple ways to add warmth to an all white bedroom. The best part? These are tips that anyone can use, including those of you who may be in a rental property, as we aren’t adding anything permanent!

1. textiles

Adding textiles is such a great place to start! And by textiles I mean bedding, throw pillows & blankets and drapery. Some great ways to do this:

  • Add a duvet cover filled with a down insert to the end of your bed
  • Add a few throw pillows in warm colors to a chair or bed
  • Add a throw blanket to the foot of your bed, bedside table or accent chair
  • Add drapery to your window(s)

2. area rug

Maybe the easiest way to add warmth to an all-white bedroom is by adding an area rug! And yes, you can add a rug to a carpeted room! (We have rugs on top of carpet in each of our 3 bedrooms.)

Not only does it bring warmth to a space, but it brings personality with it as well.

3. wood

Adding wood to a space is another way to add warmth. And it doesn’t have to be a large piece of furniture like the dresser above. Add a wood bowl, wood picture frames, or wood decor pieces to your dresser or bedside table.

4. decor

Decor is another great way to add warmth to a space. Here are some examples:

  • baskets
  • vases & pots
  • trays & bowls
  • candles

5. artwork

Add a moody art print framed in a wood or brass frame. Hang the artwork on the wall, or lean it against the wall on a bedside table or dresser.

6. lighting

And last, but definitely not least, add lighting to your bedroom to bring immediate warmth to the space. Add a floor lamp next to a corner chair, or add a sconce or table lamp to the bedside tables.
