Sharing 6 no fail objects to use when styling a coffee table.
There are so many different ways to style a coffee table, but the one thing that seems to always remain the same is the type of objects I use when styling.
I’m sharing my 6 go-to objects, along with a lot of inspiration and links!
Let’s get to it!

1. styling a coffee table with trays

My number 1 item is trays! They are pretty and serve a purpose at the same time. It is so nice to have a basket to place remote controls, coasters, reading glasses, and maybe a candle or a pretty plant or small vase of flowers.
2. styling with books

The second item I always have out on my coffee table is coffee table books! Seems like a good place to have a few, right?!? They not only look pretty, but they give an opportunity to add height to your table by placing decorative objects stack on top. Bonus- I guarantee your guests will pick it up and love it!
3. decorative objects on a coffee table

Decorative objects are the next item I always have on hand when decorating my coffee table. Stack a few marble coasters on a couple books, or place a yummy smelling candle in a basket next to a pretty wick trimmer. It doesn’t have to be something that doesn’t serve a function, although I do love a good string of beads!
4. styling a coffee table with pots & vases

A pretty pot or vase is such a fun and easy way to give your coffee table a new look each season. Above, I styled a blush colored pot on my coffee table for summer. For fall, I will likely bring in a pot or vase in a darker color. The vase or pot can be styled inside or out of the tray, I style it both ways depending on the size of both.
5. faux greenery

In the spring and summertime, I sometimes style a vase filled with pretty flowers on my coffee table. The rest of the year, it is faux greenery all the time. Greenery or flowers is another great opportunity to add height and interest to the vignette.
6. styling with decorative boxes

And last, but definitely not least, decorative boxes. Again, I love to style them in or out of the coffee table tray. I also like to style them stacked on a few books. A bigger box can even hide your remote controls!
