Friends, we recently got a big upgrade in our living room! A new Pottery Barn Pearce Sectional. Today I’m sharing all of the details of our new favorite addition.
Disclaimer- I received this sectional from Pottery Barn in exchange for photos of it in my space. All opinions are 100% my own.
Our previous living room sectional was the Pottery Barn PB Comfort Roll Arm 3-Piece Sectional. We purchased that sectional 10 years ago, and have loved it! It now lives on in our bonus room, which makes my daughter SO excited. You can read all about my thoughts on our previous sectional here: Pottery Barn PB Comfort Sectional Review.
We have been long-time Pottery Barn fans and are overjoyed to get to try a different sectional in our home!
If you have questions regarding sources in the photos below, you can shop my home here.
pottery barn Pearce sectional:

We have the Pottery Barn Pearce square arm upholstered left arm 3-piece wedge sectional with down wrapped cushions. It is 118″ long, 88″ wide & 38″ high.
our Pearce sectional fabric details:

We have the Performance Boucle in Oatmeal fabric on our upholstered sectional. I LOVE the color and the texture of it.

It is such a pretty mix of cream with tiny specks of warm brown. Pottery Barn describes their boucle fabric as a “richly textured fabric made from curled fibers that’s cozy, durable and easy to clean.” I don’t have any feedback to give so far on the durability or ease of cleaning; however, I do agree on the richly textured and cozy part.
Pottery Barn Pearce sectional arm details:

Like I mentioned above, we have the upholstered square arm version of the Pearce sectional. I am completely in love with the chunky square arm of this sofa. I love the clean lines and the tailored look of them.

cushion details:

The cushions are loose, and Pottery Barn recommends rotating them often. They are down wrapped cushions, and they sit firm and super comfortable, in my opinion .

I love the welted seam detail of this sofa as well!
Pottery Barn Pearce corner wedge details:

Our last Pottery Barn sectional did not have the angled corner wedge like this sectional does. I’m loving the extra room it allows to get in and out of the corner spot. Which, I must confess is “my spot!” The best spot in the house 🙂 !
Pearce sectional seat details

Last, but definitely not least, let’s talk about the deep seats of this sectional! Pottery Barn describes it as “generously proportioned with deep seat cushions, one of our most welcoming and substantial collections.” I completely agree. I’m 5’8″ tall, and my husband is 5’11, and it is so nice to have a large couch to sink into!
One last comment I want to make- just because we love this sectional, doesn’t mean you will! If you can, I highly recommend going to a store to test out the ones you have your eye on! This is just my opinion!

Where did you get your coffee table featured by the Pearce couch? I couldn’t find it in the shop home section.
Hi Mary. It’s in there, but my wood color is no longer available. This is the coffee table: https://rstyle.me/+szlzkCu-fQHy6oGONfQ_fA
And raw mango is the color of mine: https://rstyle.me/+MrCAupB2CLCY11TLJMKdiQ
Hello,
How would you describe the durability now that you’ve had it a few months. Also are both the seat and back cushions unattached?
Hi Kim! We are LOVING the couch so far. We’ve had our other Pottery Barn sectional for 10 years, so it’s really hard to review this one with it only being a few months, but so far, so good! And yes, all the cushions are unattached. I rotate them every few weeks to keep it all even!
Do the cushions have removable covers (with zippers)? Thanks in advance!
Hi Eileen,
The cushions do have removable covers with zippers.
Ok- big question…first timer for a sectional so which one would you recommend? We are literally evaluating both of these and Connor decide between the PB Comfort and the Pearce! Would love your insight. I have 2 kids and this will be something we want in the space for 7 years. Thank you!
Hi Meaghan. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with either! We have had our PB Comfort for over 10 years, and it still looks amazing. They are both so comfortable! The PB Comfort I love because it has slipcovers and our Pearce does not. And I love the Pearce for the more modern look, and lighter fabric we have it in. If I were buying one today, I would go Pearce (we have the square arm,) because I like the square look more right now. But really, I cannot recommend either any more. They are such an investment and I wouldn’t think twice about spending it on either. Hope this helps!
I’m considering the exact same fabric but am afraid that our cats may attempt to use it as a scratching post (since it’s very textured). How is your cat reacting to the couch? Thanks in advance!
I was SO worried about that as well, because it looks like the perfect scratching post! So before we got it we really worked with our kitty on not scratching our previous sofa. Treats after treats when she used her scratching post. And honestly it has worked for us. Obviously every cat is different, but ours leaves it alone for the most part. And when she looks like she may start scratching, I redirect her. And for a while we had several scratching posts in the room for her. Hope this helps!
I am considering the Pearce in the Oatmeal Boucle. I know you mentioned that is is comfy but the fabric sample feels rough. Now that you have had it for awhile, would you purchase the same fabric? TIA!
Hi Joanne! The sectional itself is very comfy! We all love it. That being said, the boucle is rough against your skin (like if you have a tank top on) compared to the twill we have on our other Pottery Barn sectional. That being said, I would buy the same boucle oatmeal fabric again in a second, because I love the way it looks, I love the color of it, and I love the texture it adds to the space. I hope this helps!
Would this work in a smaller room? I absolutely love the fabric!!
Hi Allison. Our living room is roughly 14×14 if that helps. Also, I know other pieces of their furniture come with the option of this fabric. Hope this helps!
Beautiful! What size is your rug under the sectional?
Thank you! Our living room rug is 9×12.
Thanks for your post. I am considering this couch in that same color, since it is the one of the floor of the store. I was worried that it would not be white enough.
Hi Victoria. If you have seen it in-store, that should be super helpful! If you are wanting a white couch, this color may not work for you, although I love it against our white walls.
Which rug is that? Looks great with that couch – we just ordered the same couch (L sectional without wedge).
Hi there. It’s from Pottery Barn. Linked here:

Hi there! Where’s your rug from under the couch? We just bought the same couch and I need a rug under it!
Hi Ashley! The rug is from Pottery Barn. Linking it here:

After almost a year now, how are the cushions holding up? Is the fabric also holding up well? We are considering buying the same couch.
Hi Kyle,
The cushions are holding up really well. I rotate them weekly to help with their shape. The fabric is holding up well except in areas our kitty is using it as a scratching post 🙁 I wouldn’t recommend it if you have a scratching kitty, but otherwise I LOVE it!
Hi! I am looking into the Pearce sectional…first of all, how deep is it? My husband and son are both over 6 ft. tall and I want to see how difficult would be for them to get up from the sectional 😄
Also, do you know if a slipcover can go on a sectional that is already upholstered?
Thanks for any advise!
Hi there! The exact measurements are on Pottery Barn’s website. You can click the link in the blog post to see the dimensions, and I will link it here too. And I don’t know about a slipcover? I don’t know why you couldn’t, but I would ask Pottery Barn or the slipcover company you are interested in.

Hi. We are considering this same sectional. How many people can you comfortably fit on the sectional?
Thanks!
Hi there! I would say 5.
Hello! Do you think the fabric would look good with light gray walls? I am between a couple of fabrics, but I really love the look of the oatmeal in your pictures.
Hi Karen! I think it would look great against gray walls. I use gray pillows all the time on it. That being said, I would definitely get a sample (if you haven’t already,) so you can get a feel for it against your walls for yourself.
I am about to buy the Pearce Roll Arm Sectional in the Boucle Oatmeal Fabric. Since you have had it now over a year, how is the fabric holding up? Do you have any pilling? Are the fabric spots/stains cleanable? I didn’t see any reviews on this sofa or fabric, I was so glad to see your site.
Hi Barb! I do occasionally use a fabric shaver on it to remove pills. And I’ve cleaned a couple of spills easily. If you have a cat, maybe think twice. You can read about that here:
