A Pottery Barn Sectional Perfect for Upgrading Your Space
Note: I am sharing images below of the sectionals in neutral colors; however, know that you can customize any of them with a large selection of different available fabrics and colors including leather!
1. Pearce Square Arm Upholstered Sectional

We have the Pottery Barn Pearce Sectional in our living room and love it!
It is comfortable, pretty, and most importantly extremely well-made.
I love the oversized square arms, the deep seats, and the transitional look of it that goes well in any space. It is the perfect lounging sectional!
I feel like this sofa is a great option if you are looking for a clean, tailored sofa but still want the room to live casually.
You can find exact details on the configuration that we have, along with all of the reasons we love it (and one reason we don’t,) in this blog post: Our Living Room Sectional (Pottery Barn Pearce Sectional)
The Pearce Square Arm Sectional also comes in a slip-covered option. You can shop for that sofa here.
2. Big Sur Square Arm Upholstered Sofa

The Big Sur Sectional is a great option if you are looking for a comfortable & casual sofa with a timeless look.
I feel like this sofa gives a modern vibe that could be dressed up or down. Perfect for a casual vibe, but would also work well in a more polished room.

It has so many different configuration options including slip-covered sectionals, making it really easy to get the perfect size and look for your space. You can shop all of the Big Sur Sectional options here.
3. York Square Arm Upholstered Sectional

I love the bench cushion on the York Sectional mixed with the more casual details like the relaxed baseball stitching. (Baseball stitching refers to the type of decorative stitching pattern that resembles the stitching on a baseball. It gives a bit more of a casual vibe to furniture.)
The York Sectional is the perfect option if you have a smaller space. The transitional look of this sectional means it will work well with both casual and more modern pieces around it.
The York also comes in a sloped arm, slip-covered option, which I love as well. You can shop that sectional here.
4. PB Comfort Square Arm Upholstered Sectional

This PB Comfort Square Arm Sectional is great if you have tall people in your family, or just like an extra deep seat!
I love the tailored and timeless look of this sectional.
We have a different PB Comfort sectional in our bonus room and love it. It truly is a sofa for lounging!
The PB Comfort Square Arm Sectional also comes in a slip-covered option. You can shop for that option here.
5. Carmel Square Wide Arm Slipcovered Sofa Chaise Sectional

Ok. This sectional is stunning! The Carmel Square Chaise Sectional is slipcovered making it easier to clean, yet it still has a structured, modern look to it, which I love.
And look at that cozy chaise! That corner is definitely the best!
I think this sofa would work well in both a casual and more formal room.

6. Carmel Square Wide Arm L-Shaped Sectional

The Carmel Square Wide Arm Slipcovered Sectional may be my favorite on this list! I love the wide, structured square arms, and that it is slipcovered, yet you would never know it!
It just has a crisp, clean look to it that I love.
This sectional could easily be dressed up or down! I think the square, tailored look could give it a more formal look if you wanted to lean into that.
Yet, because it is slipcovered, it definitely could give off a more casual look as well.
The Carmel Collection also has upholstered sectional options, along with a wide variety of different configurations. You can shop them all here.
7. Dream Square Wide Arm Slipcovered Double Chaise Sectional

The Dream Wide Arm Sectional is exactly how it sounds. A dream. Look at the double chaise! That means two people get the money spot! Love this sectional.
This would be perfect for a casual theater room, but would also work dressed up in a more formal living room as well.
8. Shasta Square Arm Upholstered Sectional

The Shasta Sectional‘s compact size makes it a great option if you have a small space!
I love the modern silhouette the square arms give it, and the transitional look that makes it perfect for a variety of different home styles.
The Shasta sectional also comes in a slip-covered option. You can shop for that sectional here.
9. Union Upholstered Sectional

Look at the pretty, slim arms on this sectional! The Union Upholstered Sectional is another great option if you have a smaller space.
It has a low profile and slim arms making it a great option if you are looking for a piece of furniture that isn’t going to overwhelm your space.
Another option that could easily look more formal or lean more casual depending on its surroundings.
10. Serene Slipcovered Sectional

I am in love with the side view of this sectional! The Serene Sectional has extra deep seats and comfy waterfall cushions, yet the clean lines of it give it a modern look without it feeling bulky.
p.s. waterfall cushions refer to cushions that are designed to drape over the edge of the seat creating a soft, cozy, and inviting appearance.
The perfect sectional to add to a more formal living room, but it would definitely work in a more casual space as well.
The Serene Sectional also comes in an upholstered option. You can find that sectional here.
11. Chloe Square Arm Upholstered Sectional

I love the slim profile of the Chloe Square Arm Sectional. And the fact that it is slipcovered makes it a great family-friendly option!
The Chloe would work in any style of room!
*One more thing I wanted to mention. I didn’t include any roll-arm sectionals in my roundup. I prefer a square arm for its more modern and polished look. That said, we have had the PB Comfort Roll Arm Sectional for over 12 years. It currently lives in our bonus room and has held up incredibly well. So, if you prefer a roll-arm look, I highly recommend it!

FAQ’S
In my opinion, yes. A sectional is an item you aren’t going to buy regularly, so I think if you have it in your budget to splurge, living room furniture in general is a great place to do so. And I have had nothing but great experiences owning Pottery Barn sectionals for the last 12 years!
I have leather, performance fabric, as well as the more affordable twill fabric all from Pottery Barn.
I have had zero issues with all 3.
And I like all 3 for different reasons.
The twill is on a slipcover, so it is easy to throw in the washing machine. The performance fabric is super easy to clean. And the leather has been super low maintenance for us.
So, long story short, it really is up to you and how you live in your home.
I will say if you have a cat, read this blog post before going with a performance boucle: Our Living Room Sectional (Pottery Barn Pearce Sectional)
Even though it isn’t a sectional I own, I’m going to have to go with the Carmel Square Wide Arm Slipcovered Sectional. It is STUNNING! And, it would work for both a casual and more formal living space.
