It’s happening, friends. Yesterday I opened up my windows like I have done each morning this summer. You know what was different from every other morning? I had to close them about 2 hours later. It was so cold in my house. It’s starting to feel like fall, friends. And my house decor is starting to follow in the path of our chilly mornings.
Today I’m sharing my entryway all dressed up for fall, along with 7 simple fall decor ideas you can use in your own home for your entryway (or really any other room!) Because decorating for fall should be simple and easy, am I right?!?
simple fall decor ideas: the entryway
1. artwork

Artwork is my very favorite way to give a space a new look each season. The Artwork shown above in my entryway has the most perfect colors for my fall color scheme. If you don’t have a large wall for an oversized piece of artwork, you can lean a smaller print, like below.

My art print above is an inexpensive print from Etsy framed in this Target Frame. I’m in love with this look for fall. If you want more great fall artwork inspiration, head to this recent blog post: Pretty Artwork For The Home: Fall Edition
2. fall stems

Another one of my favorite ways to add fall to my spaces is through faux or real fall stems. I don’t have any huge trees in my yard to cut from, so I go faux.

And this year I’m not mad about it. I’m in LOVE with these Crate & Barrel Faux Plum Leaf Branches. I have 5 of them in this McGee & Co. Pot.
3. textiles

I love to add textiles like pillows and blankets in pretty fall colors to my entryway. Above, I have this Target Pillow along with this Etsy Wool Pillow in these Baskets. Drape a cozy blanket over the side of a basket for even more fall coziness.
4. lighting

Do you love when it starts getting dark earlier, and you get to turn on your lamps? I did this for the first time just last week. During the summer months, it is light so late, that we never have the opportunity. I told you fall was coming. I have this Lulu & Georgia Lamp above, as well as this Target Lamp, and I LOVE them both.
5. decor pieces

In my fall entryway, I brought in coffee table books in neutral, fall-like colors, along with a few decor pieces. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, you will not find bowl of pumpkins in my home, but I still find ways to add pieces of coziness and fall to my spaces.

Like Candles in a yummy scent. The perfect topper to a couple of books.
6. functional decor

Because we live in a smaller home, I use functional decor in almost every room in my home. For fall, I hang one or two of my cozy scarves along with my leather bag on my entryway hooks. And it looks like decor! It adds a nice layer to the entryway.
7. extra seating for your guests

And last, but definitely not least, seating for you guests. You could even style a cozy blanket on a stool to give it even more of a fall vibe. I love this Lulu & Georgia Stool for a smaller entryway.

Or an Upholstered Ottoman or two. Again, layer a throw blanket on top to give yourself even more of a fall vibe.
