We recently did a refresh in our primary bedroom for summer, and I’m loving the lighter feel of it! So, today I’m sharing 6 simple ways to refresh your bedroom for summer! Bonus- sharing photos of our refresh!
p.s. most of these 6 ideas would translate to other rooms in your home as well!
If you have any questions about where something is from below that isn’t specifically linked, you can shop my home here. You can also shop my Liketoknow.it page here.
1. Artwork

Starting with the easiest (and potentially least expensive) way to refresh your bedroom for summer, and that is with artwork! If you have been around for any length of time, you know I love to swap out my art prints seasonally. For summer, I added this Print, shown above on my dresser, and two of This Set, shown hanging above the chair in the photo below.
You can find the frames above and below linked here.

2. Pillows

Next, pillows are a great way to refresh a space seasonally! Above, I paired this adorable White Floral Lumbar Pillow with this Neutral Geometric Print, and this Teal Floral. Want a more affordable option? I love mixing and matching Target Threshold With Studio McGee pillows! And they have some great options for summer!
3. Bedding

My new White Bedding is definitely a splurge (although I say it’s completely worth it,) but it doesn’t have to be! We also have used this White Quilt, along with this JCPenney Option.
4. Fresh Flowers

Doesn’t get any easier than picking up some fresh flowers next time you are running errands! I like to do it every week or two this time of year, and it is just the best way to brighten up a space!
5. Lighter Accent Pieces
When I refreshed our bedroom last fall, I was LOVING all of the darker pieces that made it feel super cozy. As the days started to warm up, I was ready to move on from the darker pieces. For example, I had a dark basket and leather chair that I swapped for a lighter ottoman and chair. You can see the difference between the two versions here:

You can find my new Accent Chair here, my new Ottoman here, and the Leather Chair here.
6. A New Rug

I did not change out my rug for this summer refresh, but wanted to mention this as an option anyway! A new, lighter-in-color rug is a great way to immediately refresh a space for summer! My rug is the Teal/Antique Rug from the Amber Lewis x Loloi collection.
