Looking for some summer decor inspiration? Today I’m sharing my living room all dressed up for summer!
This year I wanted a more neutral (and simple) living room for summer. I had brighter blues the last couple of years, and I think I was just ready for a change.
So, neutrals with a hint of blush & florals, mixed with wood & textures was my theme! And yes, that is definitely a theme :-)!

summer decor: pillows & throw blankets

When choosing throw pillows for each season, I like to find one pillow to use as a jumping off point for the rest. This adorable Floral Hand-Blocked Pillow was that pillow! It is mostly neutral, but has a subtle blush detail, which I’m loving for summer.
This Striped Wool Pillow is a perfect compliment to the small floral pillow. I love the texture of it too!
When I’m mixing stripes together in pillow combos, I like to have different size stripes. This Thin Striped Pillow is a perfect compliment to the chunkier stripe of the wool pillow.

I knew I wanted to bring in more blush to the space, and this Blush Floral Pillow ended up being perfect! I also have the same pillow in Gray, which is just so pretty! The gray pillow will transition beautifully to fall as well when I start to bring in some darker colors.

Just because it is summer, doesn’t mean you can’t have throw blankets out. I like to switch to lightweight options in the warmer months, and the Cream Textured Blanket, which is shown in the photos above, is the perfect weight and color for summer.
Same goes with the throw below, this Cotton Plaid Blanket is the perfect, lightweight option.

On my living room chairs, I wanted to keep it neutral, because the sectional had so many different prints. Also, as you can see in the background above, I have blush pillows on my den chairs. I’ve had these Neutral Ticking Stripe Pillows for several years, and they ended up being the perfect compliment to the rest of the patterns.
summer decor: occasional tables

For summer on my console table, I filled this Glass Vase with fresh flowers, and ordered a new art print for my frame. My art print is from BFF Print Shop.
I topped my books with a simple $15 Whitewashed Planter, and the rest I already had!

I mentioned above that I wanted my living room to have a cleaner, more simple summer look this year. As you can see from above, I did just that with my side table. I styled it with a beautiful, perfect-for-summer book, Pacific Natural, and an equally beautiful, perfect-for-summer scented McGee & Co. Candle. And that’s it. Sometimes less is definitely more, in my opinion.

Speaking of less is more, how adorable is my new Reclaimed Wood Stool as a side table?!? I had this stool on my wish list for years, and finally purchased it. It is even better in person! I topped it with a simple Sculpted Vase filled with faux greenery from a local boutique.
summer decor: coffee table

When I ordered this Glazed Stoneware Planter, I had no idea how perfect it was going to be for my summer living room! It has a hint of blush to it, making it the perfect addition. I have it filled with Faux Greenery. Tip- when styling faux greenery in a larger pot, use coasters to prop up the greenery to make it appear larger!

I added a Summery Candle to my Coffee Table Basket that already had Marble Coasters, and the simple coffee table for summer is complete.
