Wondering where the best place online to book a timeshare rental is? I’m excited to share my experience with booking through RedWeek.com, and why I think it is the best.
Looking To Book A Timeshare Rental?
I’m sharing all of the reasons why I love RedWeek for booking my vacation rentals, and why we plan to book our travel this way in the future.
What Is RedWeek?

RedWeek is the largest, most reputable online timeshare marketplace with an audience of more than 2.7 million. They have been in business for 20 years, and they have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
It is a trusted timeshare community where timeshare owners and travelers alike come to read their exclusive resort ratings and reviews, access their detailed resort information, and of course browse the thousands of timeshare rental and resale postings, or advertise their own timeshare for rent or sale.
The best part for a traveler like me? Owners can offer their timeshare to travelers when they aren’t using it themselves. And because of this, travelers receive excellent accommodations at prices that beat hotels. By renting and buying from individuals rather than resorts, you get amazing deals. You can even find availability when the resorts are sold out! This is why I love RedWeek for booking our vacation rentals!
And it isn’t just properties in the United States! RedWeek has over 950 travel locations all over the world! Including Disney Vacation Club, Marriott’s Aruba Surf Club, Hilton Grand Vacations in numerous locations,
To give you an idea of selection, at the time of writing this, there were over 3 pages of rentals available for Hilton Head Island, South Carolina!
They also offer timeshare resales & purchases!

A backstory on how I became such a fan of RedWeek: In January of this year, my husband and I traveled to Hawaii and stayed at a resort we booked through RedWeek for the first time. I had been on RedWeek’s email list for years, and had casually looked at their website before traveling before, but didn’t put much effort into it. When we decided to plan our trip to Hawaii, I started looking at condos, and everything was SO expensive. So I pulled up RedWeek’s website and started browsing the available condos. And you guys, I found a 1 bedroom condo for the week we needed for seriously 1/4 of the rental price I was finding anywhere else. It seriously sounded too good to be true, so I did a bit of research. And that is when I learned everything above (That they have been in business for 20+ years, had great testimonials, and I checked their A+ rating, etc.)

I also noticed that the account that had the rental week available had been a user on RedWeek for over 15 years, which definitely made me feel better. He had great communication, and even had me call the resort myself to confirm my reservation before I paid him the money, which made me feel 100% confident. It was a super smooth transaction, and we LOVED the resort we ended up staying at. (I’ll put the info at the bottom of the blog post.)
Partnering With RedWeek
While on our Hawaiian vacation, and so happy with our decision to book through them, I started asking around to my friends and family if they had ever heard of RedWeek. Zero. Nobody had heard of it. Which got me thinking that I could potentially help get the word out for them on my different social platforms (mainly blog & Instagram) through a future travel partnership.
So I reached out to them about this potential partnership, and that is how I ended up partnering with them on our most recent family vacation to Palm Desert, California in March 2022. Full transparency- for this partnership, our condo stay was free.
Now, with all of that being said, 100% of my thoughts on RedWeek are my own, and I would never be writing this, or partnering with them, if I hadn’t authentically used and loved the website before reaching out to them for this partnership.
Our RedWeek Stay At Marriot Vacation Club

We stayed at the Marriott Shadow Ridge 2 – Enclaves in a 2-Bedroom Villa. And I seriously cannot wait to go back.

Probably my most favorite thing about renting through RedWeek (besides the money you save,) is you get a condo with bedrooms & a kitchen, which is SO nice! And this condo had so much room for our family of 3! Note- it could have fit several more! It was 2 bedrooms, and 2 full bathrooms!

It had a living room, a table for 6, and a full kitchen!

(The condo also had a balcony off this main living area that sadly I don’t have a great photo of. You can see a video of it on my Instagram RedWeek highlight.)

The sofa shown above was a sleeper sofa, meaning you could sleep even more people if needed.

Off of the main living area was a large primary suite, which we LOVED. So much storage, and a desk, chair, king bed and huge primary bathroom (2 sinks, and a large walk-in shower.)
Again, one of the main reasons I love booking off of RedWeek is the fact that you get a condo, with room to really unpack, which helps us feel so much more settled. (We felt the same way with our RedWeek Hawaii rental too!)

The second bedroom, which was on the opposite side of the condo, had two large beds, which could have slept 4, but my daughter was happy to have it all to herself 🙂 !

Our Timeshare Resort Grounds

The Marriott Shadow Ridge is built around a golf course, so you are never far from an AMAZING view. Bonus- golf is right out your door if you are a golfer!

There are several pools throughout the resort (we frequented two of them,) which for us meant it was never too busy, and we could always find chairs. Our experience renting through hotels always meant running to the pool to save chairs early, which we never had to do on this trip or our Hawaii trip! Another advantage of renting through RedWeek.

There was definitely a pool geared more towards kids with a slide & kiddy area. The pool nearest us had a huge TV screen playing March Madness during the week, which was SO fun. P.S. it played a family movie on the screen each evening too!

There were restaurants at both of the pools we went to serving delicious snacks, meals & drinks!

And if you needed to relax in the shade, there was a place for that too.

A Few More RedWeek Details:
- Membership is only $18.99 a year. Remember, we saved THOUSANDS on just one trip, so 100% worth it!
- Membership is required to rent or buy on RedWeek — it’s their way of making sure they have a verified community of serious renters and buyers. They do, however, provide a free membership with any “Verified & Protected” rental booking. (See next bullet point.)
- If you are nervous about booking through an owner, there is an option for you: The RedWeek Verified flag means RedWeek has independently confirmed key details of the posting so you can feel confident in your transaction. Everything you see in the green RedWeek Verified box on a posting page has been professionally verified. Verified & Protected means that the posting has been verified, and it also offers secure online booking.
- Another perk of being a RedWeek member, and booking through them, is that you often can find rentals that are unavailable anywhere else. That was the case with our recent condo rental. It was our spring break, and if we would have wanted to rent through Marriott, or any other online website, we couldn’t have, because it was all sold out. Major perk!
- I have a highlight on my Instagram feed with a bunch of video of our trip if you are interested in seeing more!
To recap, these are the 3 main reasons why I love to book a timeshare rental through RedWeek:
- save money
- rent a condo with bedroom(s) & a kitchen
- find availability when resorts are sold out
The vacation rental we booked through RedWeek in Hawaii was the Kaanapali Beach Club. The size of the unit we booked was a spacious 1 bedroom, 1 bath with a kitchenette. We also ended up booking the unit last minute! Proof that you don’t always need to plan ahead when booking a timeshare rental through RedWeek.
The vacation rental we booked through RedWeek in California was the Marriott Shadow Ridge 2 – The Enclaves
If you have any questions about either of these timeshares we rented, feel free to leave a comment below!
Because the rentals typically come from individual timeshare owners, not the resort themselves, owners have much more flexibility in their pricing.
Timeshare units typically have kitchens, multiple bedrooms & bathrooms, and washers & dryers. But unlike renting through Airbnb or VRBO, you most often times get hotel amenities like pools, front desk, restaurants, housekeeping, and security.
No tours are required ever! I have never even been approached to take a tour when staying at a timeshare through Redweek!
